To safeguard the unique ecosystems of Antarctica and promote global environmental sustainability, the government of India has successfully hosted the 46th Antarctic Treaty Consultative Meeting (ATCM-46) and the 26th Committee on Environmental Protection (CEP-26) in Kochi, Kerala from May 20 to 30, 2024.
The Maitri-II research station is expected to provide an impetus to the growth of research and innovation in Antarctica and contribute to the sustainable development of the region.
