Sociey commends this young girl for the sacrifices she made during her struggle but will eventually land back at square one after all has been said and done cause the social system won’t conform for those living in poverty. Reminds me of the child stars of Slumdog Millionaire who are still living in the slums.
Every cloud has a silver lining. Remaining perpetually in a depressed victimhood mood will not take us anywhere. Covid will be with us for many years to come. Meanwhile, we will not stop living. All that is best in us humans will always be praised- covid or no-covid. These individuals are the new heroes and need all support & appreciation from everybody. World will also appreciate them as always happens & let us not be ashamed to give our heroes their rightful dues. There should be clear difference between living in Covid times & travelling down guilt lane.
I disagree with your point of being stuck in a victimhood.
If you are stuck in a quicksand you will need help to get unstuck. The individual who is stuck may never get themselves unstuck.
