The House of MOSAIC an SDG-focused organization, successfully hosted the official launch of its landmark coffee-table book ‘India’s Emerging Climate Super Heroes’, in New Delhi, on 21st February, bringing together climate champions, sustainability thought leaders, innovators, policymakers, and founders under one roof to celebrate climate action in India.

The book is a first-of-its-kind comic-themed coffee-table publication that honours and celebrates 15 remarkable climate champions from across the country. These changemakers have been relentlessly working to protect and conserve India’s lands, forests, and water bodies; combat air pollution; drive climate innovations; influence advocacy and policy; and inspire grassroots and youth-led climate action.

The event was graced by Chief Guest Prof. Prajapati Trivedi, Former Commonwealth Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for SDG Implementation, Commonwealth Secretariat, London, UK. A distinguished leader in policy, governance, and sustainability, Dr. Trivedi delivered a powerful keynote address emphasizing that the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are not reserved for governments alone they are for everyone. He urged citizens to reflect on their individual role in achieving the SDGs, noting that if each person aligns their work and vision with even one SDG, transformative change is possible. The Guest of Honour, Sudhir Mishra, Managing Partner at Trust Legal and a noted environmental lawyer, reinforced the importance of collective responsibility in addressing the climate crisis – an urgent call for students, youth and society to engage on climate issues.

A key highlight of the evening was the ceremonial unveiling of the coffee-table book and the formal recognition of the climate superheroes featured in its pages. The 15 climate champions celebrated include: Sudhir Mishra (Climate Man of India), Ripudaman Bevli (Plog Man of India), Dr. Chinuu Kwatra (Beach Warrior), Dr. Binish Desai (Recycle Man of India), Aman Sharma (Wildlife Conservationist, Climate Activist & Photographer), Vidhi Adhikari (Zero Waste Warrior), Nimal Raghavan (Water Warrior), Ramveer Tanwar (Pond Man of India), Sonika Bhasin (Sustainable Lifestyle & Parenting Expert), Licypriya Kangujam (Child Environmental Activist), Ridhima Pandey (Youth Climate Activist), Sandy Khanda (Climate & Period-Poverty Activist), Dr. Sanjivini Sharma (Kanpur Ploggers), and Vinisha Umashankar (Solar Spark Genius). Together, these individuals represent diverse sectors from environmental law and waste management to renewable energy, wildlife conservation, youth activism, and sustainable living advocacy, reflecting the multidimensional nature of climate action in India.

The founder of the House of MOSAIC, Dr. Amreesh Chandra, (SDG Man of India), said, “The publication is a celebration of SDG 13 – climate action, a recognition of courage and a significant climate movement. The coffee-table book will inspire society to take individual action and be environmentally-conscious. Importantly, the coffee-table book is being adapted into school book series and will soon reach schools and inspire students across India”.

The House of MOSAIC aims to inspire citizens, institutions, and future generations to step forward and become climate champions in their own communities. The House of MOSAIC works to promote SDG awareness, climate education and sustainable lifestyle in society; through events, publications, awards, school-programmes, training and development.

The event was organised by House of MOSAIC, with Metabook XR as Sustainability Impact Title Partner and Clara Edtech as School Book Publishing Partner. The event had each climate superhero share their impact, their challenges and their vision with the audience. The event concluded with a renewed collective commitment toward sustainability, partnership, and climate action, reinforcing the belief that when society comes together, meaningful and measurable change becomes possible.
