It is always amusing and somewhat silly for atheists and secularists who do not believe in Hinduism or Hindu ideals or philosophy to quote scripture and throw our LAZY platitude like “vasudhaiva kutumbakam” and other TRIPE in a cheap attempt to divert the issue rather than answer the questions at hand and tell us what SCIENCE enables the Supreme Court to make the determination that the SOLE cause or major cause of pollution in Delhi is the bursting of crackers and what evidence is there to suggest that banning the sale of crackers at the expense of CRORES of ruppees to merchants will have ANY measureable impact on Delhi’s pollution. Would the failure of any improvement in air quality imply that the Supreme Court will compensate the people of delhi whose rights have been curtailed or the merchants who have suffered losses ??
Simply braying “vasudhaiva kutumbakam” is not a logical argument – it is a silly platitude without any basis in logic, fact or science. Please stop using such silly arguments to beat Hindus on the head with everytime you and your ilk trample on the religious freedoms and liberties of Hindus under the dubious aims of “environmental protection” and “greater good” nonsense. The rights and liberties of an individual in the Indian Constitution are not contingent on the “convenience” or the “permission” of the self-certified advocates of the “greater good” – but strictly on factual evidence and with extreme restraint.
