The author’s claim of research appears to be far fetched. He has accepted the fact that even in Muslim majority countries where sharia is applicable but with different version as per that country then how he blames colonialism. The democracy and Islam can not go together. The failure of these countries is attributable to that nascent desire to establish ” CALIPHATE” allover the world as ordained in Holy Koran. Why more and more European liberal countries shutting their doors or restricting acceptance of refugees from muslim countries fearing whatever terrorist activities they have faced!
That alleged failure of secular laws in the former European colonies post their independence from colonial rule is to be blamed for the extremism in Islam? Nice try.

Don’t blame anyone; fix the problem. Brunei is the latest disappointment.
