I think there is a factual mistake in this article. The government had elevated 3 judges in February/March, 2019, one of whom is a Dalit and is on track to become CJI after the next CJI, probably in 2022. I read this in an article on THE PRINT itself.
The author is described as working in the Supreme court and a Dalit. I wonder why she does not know about it since it has been 4 months since the appointment.
Or is she intentionally leaving out these details to make her point. In this case, she would as guilty as any of the others she is criticising.
