If at all we should not learn from American politics, it must be the “televised” debate, especially in the last few election cycles. After Jim Lehrer, who was truly a moderator, modern day debates are more made for TV reality shows and anchors being overtly one-sided. Increasingly, candidates themselves are more wary of participating. As for the Trump – Harris debate, did the voter really learn anything new on their policy positions and their consequence?
