The closure of proceedings against the two Italian marines for killing two Indian fishermen is judicious. It clouded India’s ties with a G-7 nation for years. It’s good that Modi government settled rather than stall. The BJP should also learn that faux nationalism and recklessness in opposition can be counterproductive.
Pinjra Tod activists got delayed justice. UAPA misuse won’t stop until those responsible are held accountable
Delhi HC has done justice to Pinjra Tod activists. Tough words in bail order on UAPA misuse are welcome. Coming over a year after incarceration, it’s also justice delayed and denied. This won’t stop unless those robbing citizens’ liberty and courts that failed to call it out are held accountable.
