PM Modi said terrorists wanted to ruin India’s harmony. Vijay Shah, BJP minister in Madhya Pradesh does just that by calling Colonel Sofiya Qureshi ‘Pahalgam terrorists’ sister’. This insult to India isn’t just idiotic, odious, or obnoxious — it’s an anti-national act. Shah should be fired immediately. Anything less is cowardice.
Judges aren’t immune to perceptions. CJI Khanna’s refusal of post-retirement job meets public expectations
Outgoing CJI Sanjiv Khanna’s decision not to accept any post-retirement job aligns with public expectations of propriety. It’s a break from what has come to be almost a norm. Perceptions matter. Judges aren’t immune to them. Post-retirement sinecures often create doubts about independence of judges. It hurts judiciary’s credibility irreparably.

Did The Print ask for the resignation of the West Bengal Home Minister when anti-Hindu pogroms swept Murshidabad aided and abetted by the West Bengal Bengal Police?
Or even the resignation of Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah and his stupid ministers for their clearly anti-national comments which demoralised our armed forces?
It is fashionable in current BJP to make derogatory and paranoid comments about Muslims and other minorities. This disgusting attitude has percolated down to the populace especially through fake news and misleading posts on SM by pro-BJP handles and even BJP IT Cell.
It is sad that the party can divide Indians based on their faith to win elections and appease its voter base. The recent skirmish with Pakistan should be an eye opener to every Indian that a divided house will fall and that the minorities are as patriotic as the majority. Time to revive the dying secular ethos of India.
CJI Sanjiv Khanna, despite a brief tenure, will be remembered with respect and affection. He had a very famous surname to live up to.
