Like Xerxes whipping the ocean for disobeying him, the government’s efforts to block access to a BBC documentary critical of the PM’s role in Gujarat riots is an exercise in futility. The allegations—right or otherwise—have long been publicly debated. Knee-jerk censorship only gives ammunition to the PM’s critics.
