Muslims’ fertility rate may be the highest among religious communities but has seen the sharpest fall in last two decades. Bhagwat’s reference to East Timor, South Sudan and Kosovo is erroneous in India’s context.

Gujarat police’s flogging of Muslim men as people cheer is medieval spectacle of mob punishment

The shocking video of Gujarat policemen — in plain clothes — publicly flogging several Muslim men after tying them to an electric pole makes for a medieval spectacle of mob punishment. That too as villagers cheer. The act can’t be justified by accusing the men of throwing stones at a garba event.
