The Washington Post’s decision to stop endorsing presidential candidates, even if publisher-enforced, is prudent, trendsetting. Newspapers can’t claim objectivity and yet endorse candidates. It’s also frightfully pompous for a publication to believe its approval can influence voters to make their choices. A media institution must only speak through its journalism.

Given the size of India’s market and engineering depth, this opens historic opportunities.
