With Bharat Atta and recently Bharat Dal, the Modi Government is closely following the spirit of Indira Gandhi’s big government push. This needless entry into selling food items goes against its stated aims of privatisation and ‘minimum government’. If Air India’s disinvestment was lauded, this move should equally be panned.
