Amravati white paper is Andhra Pradesh’s chance for a do-over. Naidu’s pledge to re-engage firms for the new capital will reverse the damage caused by his predecessor’s politically immature move. He understands the economic costs of indecision and knows what it takes to turn around Andhra, like he did Hyderabad.
Agnipath a good scheme implemented poorly—military fixing it, defence ministry should listen
Agnipath is a good idea but implemented poorly. The unseemly political slugfest ignores that it rightly aims to lower age profile of armed forces and the ballooning pension bill. Hathras preacher not named in FIR defies logic—it was his moral responsibility to avert tragedy
It defies logic that police have not named in FIR Narayan Hari, the preacher at whose ‘satsang’ 121 died. Lakhs attended the event in his name. He held sway and could have intervened for crowd safety. But he fled. This is not just his moral responsibility, but also his liability.
