MOSCOW (Reuters) -Russia said on Thursday it had protested to Italy this week over what it called “odious” anti-Russian statements, in an ongoing row over the cancellation of a concert by Russian conductor Valery Gergiev in Italy.
The Russian foreign ministry said it had summoned the Italian chargé d’affaires on Tuesday, complaining of “Russophobic attacks with the full support of Italian ruling circles”.
