(Reuters) -A tropical wave located over the eastern Caribbean Sea has a 90% chance of cyclone formation in the next 48 hours, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said in its latest advisory on Monday.

“A tropical depression or storm is now likely to form over the next day or two as it moves into the central Caribbean Sea,” the Miami-based forecaster said.

The advisory said Puerto Rico, Hispaniola, Jamaica and Cuba should monitor the progress of this disturbance, as it poses a risk of heavy rain, flooding, strong winds and rough surf.
