MADRID, Feb 25 (Reuters) – Former Civil Guard officer Antonio Tejero, who led a failed coup in 1981 against Spain’s then nascent democratic system, died on Wednesday aged 93, his law firm said, the same day that the Spanish government declassified documents related to the coup.
