TEGUCIGALPA, Dec 9 (Reuters) – Honduran President Xiomara Castro said on Tuesday she will denounce an “electoral coup” in the country’s presidential vote to international organizations including the United Nations, European Union and Organization of American States.

The Central American nation’s November 30 vote was peaceful, but the processing of its results has been marred by technical failures, fraud allegations and a password security breach. Trump-backed conservative candidate Nasry Asfura has a narrow lead but many votes were flagged as inconsistent and need to be reviewed.
