Bhutan’s Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay arrived in India on Thursday, in what marks his first official foreign trip since assuming office. He was received at the airport by Union minister Ashwini Choubey.
Tobgay is in India for an official visit of five days, starting on March 14. He will hold bilateral talks with both President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Tobgay’s People Democratic Party stormed to power in Bhutan in January this year, winning 30 of 47 seats in the country’s national assembly.
