ASEAN secretary general to visit Brunei for Heads of Civil Service meeting

The Secretary-General of ASEAN, Kao Kim Hourn, is scheduled to visit Brunei Darussalam on August 6-7, 2024, to participate in the Heads of Civil Service Meeting for the 22nd ASEAN Cooperation on Civil Service Matter (ACCSM).

The meeting will focus on strengthening the governments’ strategies on mental health and well-being in the public sector.

The ASEAN Secretary-General will also deliver opening remarks, update those in attendance on the decisions of other ASEAN meetings related to ACCSM, and present his views on strengthening the governments’ strategies on mental health and well-being to achieve work-life balance in the public sector.

During his trip to Brunei Darussalam, the Secretary-General will also hold bilateral talks with the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Civil Service of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and the incoming Chair of the ASEAN Cooperation on Civil Service Matters, as well as with the President and CEO of the US-ASEAN Business Council.
