SI-UK Bridging Study Abroad Gaps in Tier 2 & 3 Cities

Making education more inexpensive and accessible is necessary if India is to achieve its goal of democratisation. The first step towards that goal should be education for all social classes, and to realise the goal of an educated India, education must become more democratic.

The lack of accessibility to study abroad consultants in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities has hindered the dreams of thousands of aspirants. Because of this, students have had to take a more aggressive approach and travel to tier-1 cities to get essential advice for studying abroad.

Today, SI-UK is working towards bridging the gap by opening new offices in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities to make study abroad more accessible to students.

How is SI-UK making an impact?

At SI-UK, we believe that traditional methods of segregating learning into distinct geographical areas are becoming obsolete, as knowledge can now be accessed and acquired from anywhere, transcending boundaries.

With our new offices in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, our goal is to reach more students who were earlier denied the benefits of studying abroad, such as free consultation, assistance with visa applications, and advice on scholarships and accommodation.

SI-UK India’s Managing Director, Lakshmi Iyer, said of the launch, “Each city has its unique characteristics and challenges, and a well-planned strategy is crucial for success.

At SI-UK India, we are prepared to invest in these locations and provide the necessary amenities to attract Indian students who want to study abroad.”

Benefits of new Tier 2 and Tier 3 offices

Opening offices in tier 2 and tier 3 Indian cities to assist students in studying in the UK provides many benefits to the local populace. Generally, students in tier 2 and tier 3 cities may have limited access to information about studying abroad, and these local offices can provide personalised counselling and guidance to students, helping them choose the right courses and universities that align with their academic and career goals.

Having a local presence can also foster trust and confidence among students and their families, as they can visit the office for face-to-face interactions and consultations. SI-UK constantly strives to reach students in parts of India that are not as well served as the larger metropolitan cities.

Ruchi Sabharwal, Sales Head, SI-UK India, added: “All of our offices, big or small, are trained by UK institutions to be well-informed about UK education and immigration policies, maintain high ethical standards, and provide accurate information to students.

“Encouraging students from diverse regions and backgrounds to study in the UK can enrich UK universities’ cultural and academic environment, fostering a global perspective.”
