You’ve probably heard that when life hands you lemons, create lemonade. The basic principle of this well-known saying is that you will face difficulties in life. That is an absolute requirement! When life throws a curveball, the majority of people fall for the trap of pessimism. But this does not have to be the case.

We are always motivated by the success stories of great people, but have we ever attempted to figure out what they all have in common?

Sharif Mohamed – young leading digital entrepreneur

In this article, we’ll look at the success story of Sharif Mohamed, a well-known Maldivian young entrepreneur. He is one of the top digital entrepreneurs in the industry. He was named by President Abdullah Yameen Abdul Gayoom to oversee his Media Coordination and Press Office at The President’s Office of the Maldives in 2015 for his distinguished work.

He was able to make a wealth and achieve notoriety around the country with little investment.

Here’s how it all began.

From nowhere to famed digital entrepreneur

Life was not easy for him because he was born into a middle-class yet well-respected family. And nothing interesting happened until he entered seventh grade. That is when he began his journey in the field of Digital Marketing.

Things began to shift for our hero at this point. His interest in social media grew, and he continued to study the process of becoming a better version of himself. Money was not always consistent in the beginning. There was no guarantee that he would earn even the same amount in the next month.

Dealing with societal job norms & constant income

Many people will not open a company since there is no certainty that they will generate a regular monetary base. As a result, the vast majority of the people prefer to work.

And acquiring a master’s degree to be dubbed “Entry to High Grand” was the path to traditional positions.

He had two options: pursue a traditional employment (Graduate in Aviation Field) or become an entrepreneur after completing a degree in Business Management.

The choice was difficult. On the one hand, there were enticing promises of receiving thousands of dollars directly into his bank account for doing something he despised. On the opposite side of the canal, the difficult start finally led to a successful career doing what he liked.

What did he do?

You’ve guessed correctly. You would not be reading his story if he had chosen the first option. Nobody reads about graduates who have regular government positions.

Rather, he chose the second choice, aggressively chasing his aspirations and doing what he enjoyed the most – social media marketing. And today you’re reading about him.

Making lemonade in preparation for the future

The lemons in Sharif’s situation were a shortage of resources, a lack of support from the community, internet connection troubles, and constant taunting from skeptics. But he was able to take these lemons and transform them into lemonade of prosperity.

What are the issues in your situation? What are your desired outcomes?
