We all live our lives with a certain goal. While many of us fight all our lives to achieve that success, only some get that breakthrough.
Huzefa Vana is a man who belongs to the latter category. The 30-year-old is living the fine life that most of us can only dream of. He is a Dubai-based diamond merchant from Gujarat and became a talking point in the media for distributing food, oxygen concentrators, oximeters and emergency medicine during the second wave of Covid-19 in India.
The maverick man recently sat down to speak to us about his journey.
“See, I belong to the godly state of Gujarat. I’ve seen people go from rags to riches in a matter of years. And there are many who have reached heights higher than they dreamt of. So, I know no tricks. And that I’ve learnt from all of these guys that there is no substitute to hard work,” he says.
But many are hardworking but never see the light at the end of the tunnel. What about them?
“You’ve to factor planning as well, my friend,” says Vana, the founder of Western FC LLC.
“You’ve to think of your life as a long road trip. You’ve milestones in your trips, right? Well, that’s how you need to break down your dreams too. You think of a distant dream. And then you’ve to break it down into milestones, or smaller dreams. It’s like how we add Stops in our road trips. One just needs to focus on the next milestone at the moment and work towards it. It makes things brighter all the time because the next milestone is not far away,” he added, concluding that being motivated in the process is the key.
Talking about his lifestyle, the diamond merchant added that it’s full of glitz and glamour today. His wealth has got him friends all around the globe and some of the Indian superstars are on the list too. “See, it’s not a big deal anymore. Be it Yuvraj Singh or B Praak we are all buddies. Chris Gayle recently shot for a song with our company,” he informs.
Vana is also the MD of AllianceTime Media, an event management company he had founded with his entrepreneur friend from Gujarat, Milan Shah.
Talking about his association with the big names in India, he says that he is friends with Garry Sandhu too. “Luca, Pollard, Simile Narine and Nicholas Pooran, we all chill together. I used to be intimidated with them in the beginning but we’re close today. These guys eat like us, feel like us, so I feel a lot connected to them. There’s a separate bond that we share among this bunch of friends.
