Jaskaran Oberoi joins The Artistree as content strategist as company looks to expand in India

The Artistree is part of the Anime India Initiative to popularise the Otaku culture in India.

The Artistree is aiming for a huge expansion across many fields in the coming years, as they work on a path to establish themselves as a brand. Thus, they are expanding content wise, area wise as well business wise.

This array of areas they want to cover might need their content to make a bigger impact like never before. To that end, Jaskaran Oberoi has joined the company as the new Content Strategist.

One of the key elements in The Artistree’s expansion in India is their partenership with
OtakuKart. An entertainment news company that has been thriving for the past five years,  OtakuKart became a pivotal part of the anime and entertainment news company.

The Artistree is part of the Anime India Initiative to popularise the Otaku culture in India. Oberoi previously worked with OtakuKart and its founder Sohel Moldharia. Both had come together to found OtakuRage, an e-commerce website aimed at producing pop-culture centered goods, clothing lines and accessories.

Along with Oberoi, Jerika Moldharia, who was also part of OtakuKart, will be joining
The Artistree as its new CEO.

Jerika has been responsible for OtakuKart having more than 20 successful sites working under them today. Devendra Kumar will be joining as the new Marketing Head of the company and will bring with him insight into the Indian market and how they might continue to grow.

With these new, talented individuals joining the Artistree, the company could achieve similar feats as OtakuKart.

Goals for the future

There are content goals the company has marked and aims to achieve them under the
leadership of Jaskaran Oberoi. All these goals were previously achieved by OtakuKart.

This includes The Artistree’s plans to expand their writings into anime, gaming, K-Pop and K-Drama community. The company also plans to put forth an initiative called the ‘Artist Feature’ which has been in the pipeline for a while. Their content clearly suggests that they always wanted to appreciate the art and creators behind it and the initiative of Artists Feature may help them in doing so. This will come with insights of the featured artist itself.

On Otakukart’s page already, there is a version of this initiative, called ‘Artist Focus’.

Lastly, with expanded content, The Artistree aims to bring out merchandise fans would adore. These could be T-shirts, goodies, glasses and much more and could soon find their way into stores. Most preferably via OtakuRage in partnership with OtakuKart.

At the moment, The Artistree is settling down in Bhopal, all the way from the United States. They have already started making their moves and we wonder what’s next.
