Role of cybersecurity analysts
According to Dheeraj, cybercriminals target company hardware, software, and networks, whereas a cybersecurity analyst protects them. The analyst’s major responsibility is to thoroughly understand the company’s IT architecture, detect problems, and assess dangers that could compromise the network. The cybersecurity analyst is always looking for new ways to improve the company’s network security and protect sensitive data.
Speaking to Interviewer PR, Dheeraj said that as a cybersecurity analyst, he has had to face many challenging situations. These challenges, he said, force you to brainstorm ideas to prevent the risks that might occur to your system if it goes unnoticed.
He claims that ransomware and IoT attacks have dramatically increased in recent years and are now one of India’s most serious cybersecurity threats. Ransomware attacks entail trying to access the data present on the computer system and prohibiting them from using it once they have access until a ransom is paid. It becomes a critical situation for individual users but is more of a risk for businesses. He further declares that with the increasing popularity of IoT devices at a breakneck pace, the cybersecurity challenges have reached another level. Attacking IoT devices can expose critical user information. One of the most difficult tasks in cybersecurity is protecting IoT devices because obtaining access to these devices might allow other harmful attacks to take place.
Hence, having cybersecurity onboard is necessary. They help to prevent any mishaps from happening, thus safeguarding the system network. They are the reason why individuals and companies can breathe.
