When was the last time you had home-cooked South Indian meals? Chances are it has been a while, as it is not easy to make a perfect batter from scratch. To help food enthusiasts Shwetha Nayak Mhetar has come up with an innovative idea and is introducing her ‘Batter Store‘ for millennials and Gen Z to simplify their cooking processes.

Taking inspiration from her mother and grandmother, Shwetha started her journey with a small stone grinder from the home kitchen. She started grinding the traditional way that she inherited. Serving people from her society amid the pandemic, she fulfilled the demand for home-cooked meals.

Carrying the legacy

When people started appreciating her batter, she thought of starting her own venture ‘Shwetha’s Batter Store’. She began her factory unit with the goal of serving the entire country while also attempting to expand her wings. The wow factor associated with her batters is that they are preservative-free, gluten-free, and completely vegan, as well as are being created in a sanitized kitchen.

With the increasing number of consumers going vegan and being very health conscious, she has made a good range of healthy batters such as ragi, multigrain, and adai, apart from the traditional idli and dosa batters.

Talking about her startup, Shwetha said, “Being a small startup, I won’t say that there are no roadblocks. To scale up, requires big investment but the constant increase in demand and quality of the products, buyer’s motivation gives me the confidence to grow to the next level.”

‘Serving from mom’s kitchen’

Every bite of idli and dosa will bring back memories of your mother’s cooking and will transport you back to your childhood. Making it convenient for people to cook, the food will be ready in just four easy steps that are open, stir, pour and steam.

The fingerlicious batter will make you drool and will transport you to the food’s paradise, as they say, “You crave it & You have it”. Serving the people with a real taste of traditional South Indian cuisines Shwetha aims to expand her factories with big machines to match the demand as it is constantly growing with time.

To reach a larger audience the batters are now available on Swiggy, Amazon, Fraazo, and Nature’s Basket, and orders are also accepted directly on the brand website. You definitely cannot miss something this delicious, filled with the richness of healthy ingredients. So, head on and grab your packets of the best batters available, now!
