In a conversation with ThePrint, Congress Lok Sabha MP Tariq Anwar launched a sharp attack on the party’s Bihar election in-charge Krishna Allavaru, saying the Congress’s poor performance in the state was rooted in the decision to appoint someone with “no knowledge of Bihar” and “no organisational experience.” Anwar said he had flagged concerns “from the very beginning,” arguing that Allavaru “had no idea” about the state, had “never contested an election,” and was “not an expert” in conducting one. The senior leader alleged that Allavaru did not take state leaders into confidence, avoided consultations, and discouraged meetings.
