Govt rolls back Sanchar Saathi pre-installation mandate, but what are the issues that still remain

On Wednesday, the government withdrew a mandate requiring smartphone makers to preload the Sanchar Saathi on all new devices. Several privacy advocates had raised concerns over how the app may impact users’ rights.
