GIRONA, Spain (Reuters) – Dodi Lukebakio’s late goal earned Sevilla a 2-1 win away to Girona in their LaLiga meeting at the Montilivi Stadium on Saturday, after the visiting side had missed an early penalty kick and gone behind in the opening half.

Isaac Romero spurned an early chance for Sevilla from the penalty spot and Girona took the lead nine minutes before the break through a header from Arnau Martinez.

Sevilla levelled through Saul Niguez in the 59th minute and, with the game seemingly destined for a draw, Lukebakio struck two minutes from time.

The win moves Sevilla from 13th to ninth in the standings on 26 points, two points behind Girona who remain eight.
