In today’s featured cartoon, Alok Nirantar alludes to International Yoga Day (Tuesday, 21 June) in the backdrop of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Maharashtra, led by ex-CM Devendra Fadnavis, getting five of its candidates elected to the state’s Legislative Council Monday as a result of large-scale cross-voting — outfoxing the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance led by CM Uddhav Thackeray.  The next day, a senior Shiv Sena minister decamped to Gujarat with more than a dozen MLAs in an apparent rebellion, leaving the MVA government on shaky ground.
