New Delhi: Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar addressed the students and faculty members of Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) in Mumbai, Maharashtra on 12 July.
In his address to the students and faculty of NMIMS in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Dhankhar said that the country’s political journey has been compared to a rocket’s ascent. He emphasised the country’s resilience and progress despite facing occasional challenges. He said, “Trust me, the next five years will see India’s rise like that of a rocket breaking beyond gravitational force.”
Speaking about the abrogation of Article 370, he said, “I thank the Parliamentarians for their decisive action in abrogating Article 370 in 2019. That the outcomes might have been different had Dr Ambedkar drafted Article 370 or Sardar Patel been in charge of the integration of Jammu and Kashmir after the independence.”
Dhankhar emphasized the crucial role of higher education in national development and empowerment. He stated, “Power to empower individual and society emanates from education!” and highlighted how education facilitates the unleashing of potential and the exploitation of talent. He further emphasized that education fosters innovation, propels economic growth, and becomes a conveyance to realize dreams and aspirations.
