UPSC’s top 3 scorers are women, PM congratulates all candidates who cracked civil services exam

Shruti Sharma, Ankita Agarwal and Gamini Singla have topped the UPSC exams for 2021. Topper Sharma is an alumnus of St Stephens College and Jawaharlal Nehru University.

New Delhi: Three women have topped the Union Public Service Commission exams for 2021.

They are Shruti Sharma, Ankita Agarwal and Gamini Singla.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated all 685 candidates who cleared the Civil Services (Main) Exam, 2021.

“My best wishes to these youngsters who are embarking on their administrative careers at an important time of India’s development journey… when we are marking the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav,” Modi said. The ‘Mahotsav’ is an initiative of the central government to celebrate India’s 75 years of Independence.

Topper Shruti Sharma is an alumnus of St Stephens College and Jawaharlal Nehru University.

The preliminary test for the UPSC was held on 10 October, 2021, and results declared on 29 October. The main exam was held from 7 to 16 January, 2022. Results were announced on 17 March, 2022. The final interview began 5 April and ended 26 May.
