New Delhi: Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth launched the “GRSE Accelerated Innovation Nurturing Scheme (GAINS 2024)” of Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Limited (GRSE) in Kolkata on 10 July, a PIB press release stated.
This innovative scheme aims to address challenges in the shipbuilding industry and promote technological advancements by leveraging the expertise of start-ups and MSMEs in the country.
The GRSE Accelerated Innovation Nurturing Scheme (GAINS 2024) aims to create an enabling environment for the growth of innovative solutions by promoting MSMEs and start-ups in the development of technological advancements.
Seth spoke on the occasion and praised the GRSE’s contribution to the nation’s shipbuilding industry. He said, “Innovations and technological advancements like GAINS will give a new dimension to the future of Indian defence. We will be proactive in maritime security and air defence. With our technological advancements and dedication, we will enhance the strength of our armed forces and enhance maritime security.”
Under the GAINS 2024 scheme, GRSE will provide mentoring, training, and financial assistance to MSMEs and start-ups engaged in research and development of innovative solutions in the ship design and construction industry.
