President Murmu attends NISER’s 13th graduation ceremony

The President urged students to maintain humility and a spirit of inquiry within them.

The President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, graced the 13th Graduation Ceremony of the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, on 9 July, a PIB press release stated.

The President said on the occasion, “The journey of NISER has been just a few years, but in a short period, it has made a significant place for itself in the education world. I am pleased to see that this institution is moving forward by adhering to the rhythm of science and tradition.”

“Real education and knowledge are only those that are used for the betterment and advancement of humanity. I have full confidence that wherever they are working, they will achieve the highest levels of success in their field”, she added.

The President urged students to maintain humility and a spirit of inquiry within them. She said, “You are expected to think about how your knowledge can be utilized for the advancement of society and the country by considering it as a social enterprise.”
