Kolkata, Feb 28 (PTI) West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday extended her greetings to scientists, researchers and students on the occasion of National Science Day, underscoring the importance of scientific pursuit and innovation.

In a post on X, she said, “On the occasion of National Science Day, I extend my heartiest greetings and best wishes to all our scientists, researchers, and the brilliant young minds of our student community.” National Science Day is observed annually on February 28 to commemorate the discovery of the Raman Effect by Indian physicist C V Raman in 1928.
