Fire breaks out in oil tanker near fuel depot in UP, no casualties

Deoria (UP), Jul 14 (PTI) An empty oil tanker caught fire near the Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) oil depot in Baitalpur here, police said on Monday.

No casualties were reported in the fire that broke out at 8:15 pm on Sunday. A fire brigade was rushed to the spot which controlled the blaze.

The cause of the fire was apparently a short circuit in the battery of the tanker.

The BPCL depot is located in Baitalpur and many empty tankers were parked in the parking lot near it. PTI COR NAV SMV SMV DV DV
