MUMBAI (Reuters) – A boat carrying around 56 people capsized off the coast of India’s financial capital of Mumbai on Wednesday, a statement from the local authority said.
A total of 21 people were rescued, of which one was declared dead, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation said in a statement.
Rescue and relief operations are ongoing, it added.
