Ahmedabad/Gandhinagar: The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) office in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, wore a festive air Thursday, as the counting of votes for the 2022 assembly elections continued, indicating a sweeping victory for the party in a state where it has been in power since 1995.
At about 8 pm Thursday, the party had won 153 of 182 seats and was leading in three, ac.
Gujarat’s incumbent Chief Minister and the BJP’s CM face in this election, Bhupendra Patel, told the media gathered at the party headquarters in Gandhinagar that the results of Gujarat assembly elections were clear.
“People have made up their minds to further continue with the journey of development in Gujarat. We humbly accept the mandate of the people. Every worker of BJP is committed to public service,” said Patel.
