New Delhi: A collection of wildlife photographs across several national parks and natural reserves is on exhibition at New Delhi’s All India Fine Arts & Crafts gallery.

The images, shot over the past four years, are by noted photographers Ajay Suri, Akash Das, Anup Sah, Mohammed Aslam, Umesh Aggarwal, Navin M. Raheja, Nayan Raheja, Pranjal Sah and Sharad Kumar Verma.

Talking about the exhibition, Suri said each photo has been a painstaking process requiring patience and luck. Some of the images, such as one of elephants fighting and a tiger walking around in the jungle, took the photographer several days of waiting at a particular spot for the right shot, he added.

Since natural light plays a vital role for a wildlife photographer, the perfect shot can be days in the making, Suri said.

The exhibition ‘Wild India — Celebrating Wilderness’, inaugurated Friday, is on display between 11am and 7pm till 23 January.
