Amazing maurya bhai and bisht bhai. They claim there is no dearth of jobs in UP bhai. They claim suitable candidates are not there. It appears they are in election mode and lying thru their teeth. About 15,000 applicants – 90 plus percent overqualified – per post. Poor maurya bhai and bisht bhai cannot find suitably qualified candidates for the job. About 80 percent of applicants were graduates were for a messenger job. Amazing politicians – poor India
That attitude of the Press & Media at large is what is ruining our country. They spread canards about jobs being ‘unworthy’ to stop people from applying for perfectly good jobs like ‘telephone messenger’, which is a challenging occupation with promotion chances. Some low level journalists sit & type away without thinking that this kind of report tarnishes the image of the nation! Again – is the job of ‘messenger below a journalists prestige? That is a reply showing perspectives ha ha ha
The data about PhD applicants, why, this entire article about unemployment is DEPRESSING. But looking at it from a distance, one must say that our countrymen’s craze for degrees is ridiculous. I remember a TV interview that Shekhar Gupta did with someone many years ago. SG pointed out that there are weird choices for research topics; apparently, there was a PhD thesis on, “Hindi Sahitya mein LOATE ka mahatv”!!! (Importance of a loata in Hindi literature). A “loata” as we know, is a round, almost spherical utensil with a flat base, that is used for carrying water, milk etc.
