SIR, IN TAMILNADU MOST THE LEGAL METROLOGY OFFICERS ARE UNQUALIFIED I.e they do not posses the required qualification prescribed by the Legal Metrology Act, this is the reality for the past 33 years. Then how consumers can get exact quantity of commodity they paid for. Others States like Kerala, A P, Telangana, Karnataka, Delhi, W B, Magarastra.. etc are adhering the qualifications for the Legal Metrology Officers of their respective State.
Though appreciable effort, the author is misconceived in declaring that food articles are exempt from following the PC rules. The exempt provision is very limited and that too if the required declaration in accordance fssai Act is made. Such exemption is like declaring name and address of the manufacturer.
