India has enough nuclear deterrent. The next war between large military powers like India and Chins, god forbid if it happens will turn nuclear very fast. India will not take a chance and will deploy its nukes to prevent China from destroying India.
No different than Pakistan or any other major power with nukes.
This is also the reason that China and India will never let its war escalate and walk into each other’s territory.
In the time Britain takes to complete the planning process for one more runway in Heathrow, the Chinese created the new Beijing airport, in good time for the Olympics. An effort to construct a dyke before the free flowing river of China’s rise will impose huge costs on the global economy. Part of the credit for benign inflation is due to China’s manufacturing / export performance. It will also create geopolitical strains that end in devastating conflict. A better approach would be to engage effectively with China and persuade it to be more respectful of the rules of the road.
China has a huge advantage.
They can bulldoze an entire city while people sleep in them. While Britain has to follow protocols to move the cows grazing on the land to build an airport. The British protocols are better.
