Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], January 28: The stage is set, the spotlight is on, and the countdown has begun. Dance World Cup (DWC), the world’s largest all-genre dance competition, has officially opened registrations for its 2026 India Qualifiers. With the World Finals scheduled to take place in Dublin, Ireland, this July, Indian dancers have a golden opportunity to represent their country on the most prestigious global platform.

One of the premier events, the DWC draws over 120,000 competitors from 62 countries annually. For Indian dancers, the journey to glory begins now. The 2026 qualifiers will scour the nation for talent across four major cities – Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, and Bangalore – culminating in a National Final where the official “Team India” will be selected.

Registrations for the India Qualifiers close on January 31, 2026. And this time they’ve made it even easier to apply. DWC now has the option to submit video entries! Aspiring participants are urged to register immediately at www.danceworldcup.in and receive details on how to participate.

A Golden Legacy: #INDIAJITHEGAGOLD

India is no stranger to victory at the Dance World Cup. Over the past decade, Team India has consistently brought home medals, including a record-breaking haul of Golds in recent years. With celebrated choreographer Terence Lewis serving as the Ambassador & Ruel Dasaun, Filmfare Award winner and pioneer of hip hop in India, as a judge – the 2026 edition promises to be bigger, bolder, and more competitive than ever.

The mission is clear: assemble a squad capable of dominating the global stage in Dublin.

Path to the World Finals

The road to Ireland is paved with intense competition. The qualifiers will be held on the following dates:

– Mumbai: February 7, 2026

– Kolkata: February 14, 2026

– Delhi: February 21, 2026

– Bangalore: February 28, 2026

– India National Finals (Bangalore): March 1, 2026

Winners at the National Finals won’t just earn the title of national champions; they will win the chance to fly the Indian flag at the Convention Centre Dublin (CCD) from July 8-18, 2026.

To support top talent, the “Best Dancer” of the competition will be awarded a trophy along with a sponsored flight ticket to the World Finals! For the others, there would be certificates and medals.

Who Can Participate?

The competition is open to all dancers aged 4 to 25 years, covering categories from Mini (up to 9 years) to Senior (up to 25 years). Dancers can compete in a wide array of styles, ensuring every artist finds their space:

– Classical & Folk: Ballet, National Folklore, Tap.

“It’s Time to Shine”

“The Dance World Cup is not just a competition; it is a global celebration of art and discipline,” said a spokesperson for Dance World Cup India. “We have seen Indian dancers stun the world with their talent in Spain, Portugal, and Germany. Now, it’s time to conquer Dublin. We are looking for passion, technique, and the hunger to win Gold.”
