FM Sitharaman’s counter to Opposition’s criticism of PM Modi for not visiting strife-torn Manipur is fallacious. If Narasimha Rao didn’t visit the state in 1993, that’s no justification for Modi to repeat the mistake. Manipur needs a healing touch, not whataboutery. A visit by PM will be a good beginning.
