Like putting lipstick on a pig, the MCD’s plans to remove stray dogs ahead of the G20 summit won’t change reality. The city’s decrepit infrastructure, sewage and roads need fixing. Condemning dogs to overcrowded, insanitary centres only tells the world Delhi administrators aren’t just guilty of incompetence, but wanton cruelty.
