BAKU (Reuters) -Azerbaijan summoned Russian ambassador Mikhail Yevdokimov on Friday to issue a strong protest after a Russian Iskander missile damaged its embassy in Kyiv, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.

In a statement, it said the blast from the missile destroyed part of the embassy’s perimeter wall and caused serious damage to the diplomatic compound. No one was hurt.

The incident happened during Russian missile and drone attacks on the Ukrainian capital, the ministry said.
