New Delhi: Four days after the Lok Sabha elections verdict, Monday is unusual inasmuch as political opponents seem to be on the same page.

Rahul Gandhi remembered his great grandfather on his death anniversary. He referred to how young democracies delve into dictatorships and credited Nehru on creating a strong and independent democracy.

On his death anniversary, let us remember Jawaharlal Nehru Ji’s contribution in building strong, independent, modern institutions, that have helped democracy survive in India for over 70 years ??

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also thanked Nehru for his contributions to the country. Some Twitterati thought his account had been hacked since the BJP often blames Nehru for almost everything wrong with India.

A translation: In Begusarai, a Muslim hawker was shot to death after he was told to go to Pakistan. In order to promote such crimes, all such leaders and their associates are guilty, who, day and night, spread hatred for political virtues. A translation: I bow to the departed soul of the energetic public servant, the skilled constituent, the loyal activist-Surendra Singh ji.

BJP’s Shazia Ilmi posted an unusual photograph: Muslim women with lotus mehndi on their hands, and she said a “heartfelt prayer for him as well!” Now, who’s the “him” she refers to and why can’t she take his name?

Ashutosh, former AAP member, predicted the future of the Congress government in Madhya Pradesh: six months at the most. Is he being too generous?

In translation: If the Congress government of Madhya Pradesh lasts even for six months, this in itself would be a feat.

Randeep Surjewala, chief Congress spokesperson and party leader in Haryana, sure sounded like he’s eaten some sour grapes after the poll results with this attack on the BJP Haryana government.

In translation: Now the furor of Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) has been exposed.

In the recruitment examination for Assistant professor, 92% of the questions were asked from the old question paper

The future of the youth has been pushed into darkness.

Is this how the Khattar government recruits based on such ‘merit’?

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor is not easily defeated — as his victory at the polls proved — or depressed. Here, he offers “hope” to his Congress colleagues — now if only that could revive the party.
