New Delhi: Union Commerce and Railways Minister Piyush Goyal is on his way to replacing colleague Nirmala Sitharaman as the target of many jokes after he defied the laws of science in Einstein-meets-gravity remark.
The Congress has already begun to troll him. Here’s Pawan Khera and Srivatsa Y B.
Mr @narendramodi, please #FixTheEconomy and also fix your cabinet https://t.co/AaVe5Mi2zP

Why should Nirmala have all the fun? Piyush Goyal has just delivered a blockbuster dialogue
"Don't get into calculations about the economy. Don't get into maths. Maths never helped Einstein discover Gravity" ?
Millennials and Maths are the problem. Not Modi Govt. Understood? pic.twitter.com/JCoCIbdoxp

So has AIMIM’s Asaduddin Owaisi who feels Goyal’s “gravitational pull” on the downturn in the economy.
Since we’re making up science,a look at Einstein’s (made up) theory of relativity: State of economy is proportional to how much a Mantri relies on Math & knows about Science@PiyushGoyal thanks to your govt our economy is crashing. I guess you could say it’s a GRAVITATIONAL pull https://t.co/RcWglID3So

However, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is not going to be allowed to forget her Ola-Uber comment in a hurry. Here’s Jaiveer Shergill’s sarcastic reminder.
Did anyone ask them if they came in Ola or Uber? https://t.co/49dQDpNX2O

Rahul Gandhi sounds almost statesman-like in this tweet about the “foolish theories about millennials…”
What India needs isn’t propaganda, manipulated news cycles & foolish theories about millennials, but a concrete plan to #FixTheEconomy that we can all get behind.
Acknowledging that we have a problem is a good place to start.https://t.co/mAycubTxy1

Millennial Hasiba Amin, of Congress, came up with her own listicle of “downs” inspired by “Nirmala Tai”.
Guilty millennial. #BharatiyaJokeParty pic.twitter.com/0r4lLUNuY4

The BJP was, naturally, not amused by this meme-bashing — MP Shobha Karandlaje and Sambit Patra took offense at one particularly tasteless tweet.
Disgusting & horrible behaviour by @INCIndia, the Minister's stature is not diminished by this crudity.
It is the CONgress which stands exposed, literally showing us their filthy underbelly.
COngress should apologise!! https://t.co/CfypuJimPl

After this Abysmally low tweet by a party headed by a woman ..all I can say is @INCIndia isn’t wearing any “Inner-Conscience” ..it needs to buy some immediately!#ShameOnCongress https://t.co/Lm0tTfy2w3
— Sambit Patra (@sambitswaraj) September 12, 2019
Priyanka Chaturvedi, who clearly has no love lost for her former party, attributed the meme’s crudity to the crassness of the Congress’s social media team.
The social media of Congress continues to plumb new lows.
When you think they have reached rock bottom they’d surprise you with lower than the low :))
Keep it low guys, as crassy as ever! https://t.co/9tCGvswsDo

BJP’s Amit Malviya warned us to think twice before cheering for a “virtue signalling bureaucrat”. Read on to know who he’s talking about.
Everytime media cheers a virtue signalling bureaucrat, be careful. Very careful. pic.twitter.com/kPDuqlMsNJ

And, Subramanian Swamy, BJP Rajya Sabha MP, amuses himself with a tweet that perhaps only he fully understands.
John Kennedy said: “Ask not what the country can do for you. Ask what you can do for the country.” To this I add: “ And if you do not then know what the country can do to you.”

Did Einstein use any math though? 😉
But Piyush Goyal says he’s being misquoted!
Actually, the trollers themselves have displayed their ignorance about science. Most of them probably have never read or understood Einstein’s theory of relativity. Special theory of relativity came in 1905 and ten years later the General theory. In the General theory the gravity is most accurately described not as a force, but as a consequence of the curvature of the spacetime caused by uneven distribution of mass. Thereafter, Einstein predicted in 1916 on the basis of his general theory of relativity the concept of gravitational waves (which were earlier proposed by Henri Poincare in 1905) which are disturbances in the curvature of spacetime , generated by accelerated masses, that propagate as waves outward from their source at the speed of light. The existence of gravitational waves have been proved right a century later. Thus Einstein has completely reinvented the gravity based on a concept which is very different than what was earlier thought by Newton. So, Piush Goyal is right and the trollers are wrong.
Mr Pramod, guess they can make you a minister then. Oh wait, they don’t like competent people 😉
