Human rights and social activist Nishant Yadav has initiated a unique awareness campaign in Uttar Pradesh’s capital city Lucknow to urge youngsters to enroll in public universities if they are looking forward to pursuing higher education in the state.

On his mission, the social activist believes in traditional methods to spread awareness about the facilities available at the state-owned educational institutions by visiting multiple places in a row.

“We distribute pamphlets to every young individual roaming around the University of Lucknow and ask them if they are interested in higher studies. I am working with some of my friends on this special awareness program,” he told.

Earlier honored with a prestigious award for his incredible service to society, Yadav claimed that education in state-owned universities had gone through a significant transition in the last five years.

“We see a lot of students from residential schools who do well in NEET, JEE, and other competitive exams but in peer pressure rush to secure seats in reputable medical and engineering institutions,” said the social activist, who is also raising his voice for underprivileged children to get free quality education in private schools.
