Summits like Vibrant Gujarat, inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi Thursday, are pitched as events meant to highlight the host sites as investment destinations.
Neither state govts nor companies earn large profits from lotteries. However, a look at the system shows there’s ample evidence of murky dealings and financial irregularities.
In an interview with Gulistan News this week, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said the government would leave law and order to J&K Police and slowly withdraw troops.
The ‘idea’ Kejriwal's politics grew around was a no-holds-barred fight against corruption. That is the reason Modi govt has now tarred him and his entire party with the same paint.
The world’s youngest population is highest in India currently. No government has a magic wand to create soany jobs.50% of India’s 1.35 billion population now is under the age of 27years. That is 65 crore people looking for work, obviously this figure is only going to go up. Steps like curving the population, introducing universal civil code to this etc. should have been implemented 50years ago to prevent this catastrophe.
I don’t know how the unemployment figures are compiled. Will some one reply/comment on a statement by Lord Meghnad desai as reported in The HINDU:

The article adds exactly zero insight to the question it poses. Even the answer suggested in the sub-headline has no evidence supporting it in the article, with the exception of a quote from Samuel Huntington – which is not really evidence of any kind at all.
The only thing remotely insightful in the article is when the author says is that if “tens of thousands” of people are protesting, we shouldn’t ignore it. As folks in my native state of Tamilnadu know, Rs. 500 and a biryani (per head) can get you as large a demonstration as you want so long as you pony up the cash and the biriyanis. In India, we have a job category that no other country in the world has, namely that of “professional protester.” A large number of the people you see protesting for jobs are actually employed – as protesters! You could term this India’s contribution to the gig economy.
Not all suffer from disease of communism. They are people who just go on with their jobs or find one, work hard, believe in merit and not reservation. Largely leftists indulge in nuisance protests.
When a large group of Marathas finally made its way into Bombay – they had been protesting for almost a year all over the state – the thought struck me, They have been peaceful all this while, unlike the Jat agitation in Haryana. How long will these protests remain peaceful ? 2. One of the things we have begun to lose in the last few years is the ability to debate peacefully, with intellect and calm. Either the trolls are unleashed or the facts start getting hidden / fudged so completely, there is fog, no agreed basis around which to discuss issues of national importance, starting with jobs. God alone knows if eleven million jobs were lost last year but there are few people whom we trust or would believe if they said this is not the case.
